General Instructions
Placing order or requesting a quote: We work with any source format: digital files via e-mail (.docx, .pdf, .jpg, .png etc.) or hardcopy. You may submit your order or quote inquiry by e-mail at info@hudson-translations.com. Please provide the following details when requesting an estimate. We will provide you with a free estimate; and, after your approval, we will complete the assignment. Certified translation: We provide translation of documents from Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian (as well as into those languages from English) certified by the translator as complete and correct. Translations with such an affidavit of accuracy are typically used for legal purposes in the US such as immigration, college/university application, employment etc. Our accuracy certification statement meets the standards established by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and is acceptable by government, public and private institutions, including USCIS, ECFMG/USMLE, Universities, Colleges and other government and public agencies. Please provide us with copies of the source documents by e-mail, fax or regular mail. We will deliver a PDF draft of translated document via e-mail for verification and approval (see Client review). Upon approval, we will finalize the order and mail the hard copy certified by the translator (and acknowledged by a notary if needed). Notarization: Acknowledgement of translator certification statement by a US notary, also known as sworn accuracy statement or certified and notarized translation may be required in some cases (for example in court or legal proceedings). Please note that in most cases acknowledgement by notary is not required. Please check the requirements for translation at the institution where you are submitting your documents. For translation from English into Russian, we can provide an accuracy certification statement in both Russian and English, and it can be acknowledged by a US notary. Client review: In order to ensure your satisfaction with our work and verify the desired spelling of names and locations as well as preferred terminology we offer an opportunity for the client to review the draft copies and one round of implementation of changes at no additional charge. Additional copies: We recommend considering additional copies of some papers, especially those that you may be submitting to public agencies, as they may not be returned. However, you may order any number of additional copies of each document at any time. Shipping: Shipping via 1st Class Mail (USPS) within the USA is included in the rate. There is a variety of expedited and international shipping options available. We will ship to any country. For more details, please see Delivery Options. Anything that does not require certification can be delivered electronically via e-mail (MS-Word, PDF or other file format). We can also (upon your request) digitize and e-mail to you the certified translations before shipping the hard copy originals. We will always work with you to meet your deadlines |
